The second day of the Beer Moon was already off to a better start. No car accidents, and already one brewery down before lunch! We headed north, with an end destination for the day of Bend, OR. On the way, we passed through Weed, CA (I know, haha Weed) where just off the freeway is Mt. Shasta Brewery.

All in all, I have good memories of this brewery. I had chili for lunch (not beer, I know, but still quite delicious.) Our taster set included: Shastafarian Porter, Abner Weed Amber Ale, Mountain High IPA, Jalapeno Beer, Weed Golden Ale, Lemurian Golden Lager, Vanilla Amber Ale, and Stout brewed with apple, aged in bourbon barrels.
The jalapeno beer, really tasted like jalapenos. Great to try, but not sure I could get through a whole pint. Loved the Shastafarian porter, the Vanilla Amber Ale, and the Stout.
