Beer Moon: Brewery #3 Deschutes (the Brewery)

The next morning was great. Woke up...and DIDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE! Yay! Instead we lounged around the hotel, ate breakfast, went and saw some of the more naturey sights of Bend, including...

Buttes!

Me in front of an old lava flow, with the Cascades behind.

And a brief stroll/hike to see the Deschutes river!
And then...DESCHUTES brewery tour! One of the only tours we took on the honeymoon (we've all seen a brewery, right?) This one was actually really good. Besides lots of free samples (yum) the brewery was immaculate, the tour guide extremely knowledgeable, and the amount of history of the brewery you get to see displayed, from their office walls, to the gift shop itself, was admirable. Two thumbs up just for the tour. Plus, Deschutes is one of my favorites, so I'm slightly partial.

Deschutes. Probably my favorite brewery of the trip.

Bottling line.

Pretty brewery.

You get to wear these stylish lanyards on the tour.

Take your pick!

Hop flowers!

Ryan seems right at home with a Hophenge in his hand!

A lonely little sample. Better drink it.
Here we drank their porter, stout, IPA, hef, and their organic ale. Loved it all.
