That dreary sky we saw at Sierra Nevada caught up with us, and we had quite some downpours on the drive. But trust me, northern California is gorgeous. I loved the drive! Green, lakes, open spaces, mountains, and then immediately once we crossed into Oregon, pine trees.
We finally made it to our hotel in Bend, and decided to walk to the Deschutes Public House for dinner. We walked a few extra blocks (due to my inaccurate reading of the google map on the phone) but it felt nice after a long day in the car.
I can't remember what I had for dinner, but I'm pretty sure Ryan had the mac and cheese (another brewery staple) and he approved. We drank: Horse Ridge IPA, and Twilight (the summer seasonal). I liked the Twilight enough to buy some to bring home.
